Mind in the Vale offers face to face peer support in accessible locations around the Vale.

What does peer support involve? 

These relaxed peer support sessions give the opportunity to chat and meet other like minded people, offer a variety of fun activities and the occasional guest speaker. 

Who is peer support for? 

These sessions are for anyone aged 16+ who is struggling with their mental health, feeling isolated and would like to build confidence to access mainstream courses.  

Where and when does peer support take place? 

Barry 

When: Friday 11.30pm – 2.30pm     

Where: Castleland Community Centre, Belvedere Crescent, Barry, CF63 4JZ

*This venue offers disabled access. 

Penarth 

When: Thursdays 10am – 3pm

Where: Penarth Methodist Church, Woodland Place Corner of, Stanwell Rd, Penarth CF64 2EX

*This venue offers disabled access.

Western Vale 

When: Wednesday 1pm – 3pm

Where: Western Vale Mind, 15 Poundfield, Llantwit Major, CF61 1DL

‘Heledd’ a singing for wellbeing group

Heledd takes place in our Penarth Peer Support Group sessions, and usually runs from 11am until 12pm (the Peer Support sessions run from 10am until 3pm).
