Unit 15 CrossFit take on ‘Murph Day’ challenge

Local Barry Gym – Unit 15 Functional Fitness…home of Unit 15 CrossFit recently held ‘Murph Memorial Day’ – a day to honour Navy Lieutenant Micheal Murphy who was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 28th, 2005. You can find out more here.  

Everyone who took part in the challenge completed a grueling work out, consisting of:

1 mile run

100 pull ups

200 push ups

300 squats

1 mile run

All involved dug deep and managed to raise £410 for Mind in the Vale as their chosen charity. Mike O’shea, gym co-owner commented, ‘It was really important for us to support a local charity and mental health seemed extremely poignant during current times.’  

Thanks to owners Mike O’Shea and Micheal Baker from Unit 15 Functional Fitness along with everyone who took part in the challenge and all that donated.
