Oprema exceed fundraising target for MITV!

Oprema selected Mind in the Vale as their charity of the year back in 2020 and due to the pandemic, they decided to keep us for 2 years! During this time, they took part in a range of fantastic and fun fundraising expeditions!

The team at Oprema were really creative in their choices of fundraising activities and chose something for everyone. The first of the events was a ‘Virtual Walk Challenge’ in February 2020 which was a great way of keeping staff active as well as increasing wellbeing at an uncertain time. Continuing the theme of being active the team took part in ‘Miles for Mind’, a walking or running challenge where team members received sponsorship from family, friends and colleagues.

Further events included not one but three ‘Swear Days’, helping to raise funds and keep language clean, as well as a ‘Euros Sweep Stake’, ‘Halloween bake off’, (unfortunately we didn’t get to try the cake, but were assured it was all delicious!) Finally, two Christmas jumper days over the 2 years, and a regular tuck shop for all the staff and visitors of Oprema over the duration of the partnership.

Their initial target was £3000 and were really pleased to have ‘smashed’ their target coming in at an incredible £3645.56!
