So this #NationalSchizophreniaAwarenessDay we're here to give you some facts.Firstly, there's no evidence that schizophrenia itself causes violence. People with this diagnosis are much more likely to harm themselves than to harm someone else.Many experiences and behaviours can be part of schizophrenia. They can start suddenly, or they might develop gradually over time.Each person's experience is unique.
